Charles Barkley Says Politicians Divide People And Conquer: “I Truly Believe In My Heart Most White People And Black People Are Awesome People, But We’re So Stupid Following Our Politicians.”

Charles Barkley went off on politicians during a live broadcast ahead of the first semi-finals of the 2021 NCAA tournament between Baylor and Houston. Chuck had a lot to say about both republicans and democrats, who often try to divide people for their own benefit, something that has affected a lot of people for a long time now.

The former player-turned-analyst used his platform to call out politicians and all the dirty games they play trying to get votes, trying to divide people and make everything a racial war. Chuck made it clear that most white and black people are good but politicians are always trying to put some against others, which isn’t anything good for Americans.

Via Newsweek:

“Man, I think most white people and Black people are great people,” Barkley said.

“I really believe that in my heart, but I think our system is set up where our politicians, whether they’re Republicans or Democrats, are designed to make us not like each other so they can keep their grasp of money and power.”

“They divide and conquer,” he said.

“I truly believe in my heart most white people and Black people are awesome people, but we’re so stupid following our politicians, whether they’re Republicans or Democrats, and their only job is, ‘Hey, let’s make these people not like each other. We don’t live in their neighborhoods, we all got money, let’s make the whites and Blacks not like each other, let’s make rich people and poor people not like each other, let’s scramble the middle class,'” Barkley went on.

“I truly believe that in my heart,” he concluded.

This isn’t the first time Chuck has talked about political matters on live TV but he had never gone against politicians the way he did on Saturday. He explained how things work and why they act the way they do to keep their voters engaged and ready to go against their ‘rivals.’ A lot of people reacted to these remarks, with a lot of fans agreeing with the 1993 NBA MVP.

Charles is exact right. The aristocracy as been using that tactic for centuries pic.twitter.com/vp18LHM8Ab

Right on Chuck. Wiser words were never spoken.

— MyManDan (@HuskyMania8) April 4, 2021

It isn't about democrat or republican, it is about power. They all live in the same social circles with the goal to maintain or grow their power and influence. To think republicans wouldn't sell their soul, just as a dem would to stay in power, you are naïve.

Sad but a universal truth

The same can be said for religion, imo

If only everyone had the courage of Sir Charles!

— Paul English (@PjeVille) April 4, 2021

Well said Charles !! They work for us ! We don’t work for them.. Americans unite against these tyrants ! Vote em out.

Divide and Distract while the elites take all the money.

Politicians represent their political parties best interest, not the American peoples.

What Barkley said is true

— Marcus Tinker (@nytink82) April 4, 2021

This is one of the most genuine statements I have heard in a long time. Go Mr Barkley.

The only color politicians care about is green

i didnt think it was possible for me to love this man even more yet here we are

— don panini (@anonymouslykt) April 4, 2021

Why is only Barkley saying this when 99% of us know this to be true?!

— Breadth & Price (@BreadthAndPrice) April 4, 2021

Sir Charles gets it…speaks the truth.

— Spaz Squire (@SpazSquire) April 4, 2021

He was speaking facts and something that happens in almost every country in the world. Chuck tried to bring some light to people’s lives and although this has been dangerous in the past, he’s not afraid of speaking his mind.
