Miami Heat Will Land At Least One Of Three Players: LaMarcus Aldridge, Victor Oladipo, Or Kyle Lowry

2 Min Read

After a rough start to the 2020-21 season, the Miami Heat have successfully turned things around to stand at fourth place in the Eastern Conference.

Still, if they want to remain competitive, they’ll need to make a move before Thursday’s deadline.

Fortunately, Pat Riley and the front office are likely to land at least one of three veteran players: Victory Oladipo, LaMarcus Aldridge, and Kyle Lowry.

More than one league source has said they believe the Heat will end up with Lowry and Aldridge OR Oladipo and Aldridge (Oladio reported today by Woj). Just a growing sense among teams not involved directly in those talks.

LaMarcus Aldridge, 35, is pasts his prime and a bit of a liability defensively. But on offense, he can provide a significant and valuable boost for the Heat as a mid-range shooter. This season, he’s averaging 13.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, and a.7 assists per game on 46.4% shooting for the Spurs.

As for Lowry and Vic, they help fill out the Heat in the backcourt. Alongside Jimmy Butler, they could form a formidable tandem.

Regardless, any or all of these players could be key in helping Miami make a return to the Finals. More than anything, though, they’ll need a top performance from their stars.
