Montrezl Harrel won the 6MOTY award last season, but despite his successful campaign with the Los Angeles Clippers, he chose to go to the other franchise in Los Angeles, the Lakers. Montrezl Harrell has been a key part of their campaign, being a solid scorer off the bench. Recently, the Los Angeles Lakers have hit a tough patch with the injury to Anthony Davis. They needed contributions from the rest of their roster, and in the last two games, Montrezl Harrell has stepped up.

LeBron James has been one of the people who has praised Montrezl Harrell for his recent performance. After the game against the Pacers, LeBron James made sure to shout out Harrell in the post-game press conference.

Some things go without saying. We all have to step up in AD’s absence. And Trezz did that tonight, on both ends, especially in that fourth quarter, he stepped up big-time offensively and we needed that push… He’s getting better and better every single game, and we’re going to continue to need his energy and effort on both ends of the floor.

Montrezl Harrell has long been known as a hard-working player, often bringing energy on the glass and making hustle plays to help his team win. His hustle extends to his scoring, where he can work for buckets inside the paint. Montrezl Harrell was crucial for the Lakers in the win against the Indiana Pacers and will continue to show his importance while Anthony Davis is out. Montrezl Harrell has been playing some inspiring basketball, and hopefully, he continues to do so.
