Vanessa Bryant Demands For The Release Of The Names Of Deputies That Leaked The Helicopter Crash Photos Of Kobe Bryant

2 Min Read

In the aftermath of Kobe Bryant’s death, photos of the wreckage got leaked to the media — photos that could have only been obtained by the law enforcement individuals with access to the scene.

On Instagram, Vanessa Bryant voiced her frustrations, calling for the names of the deputies to be released.

“The Sheriff’s Department wants to redact the names of thee deputies that took/and or shared photos of my husband, daughter and other victims. They want their names to b exempt from the public. Anyone else facing allegations would be unprotected, named and released to the public. Not all law enforcement is bad. These specific deputies need to be held accountable for their actions just like everyone else.”

Vanessa also amended her complaint in federal court to her original civil rights suit earlier this week.

The lawsuit seeks damages for negligence and invasion of privacy, alleging deputies and firefighters took and shared photos of the children, parents and coaches who died in the Jan. 26, 2020, crash.

Vanessa clearly just wants to hold the officers responsible for the leak to be held accountable. But, ultimately, it’s up to the courts to decide how all of this will play out.
