The Houston Rockets Have Lost 20 Straight Games But Are Still Better Than The Minnesota Timberwolves

The Houston Rockets have recently lost twenty straight games. They are clearly in a rebuild and haven’t managed to win games recently, even with Christian Wood’s return. Losing is expected for a rebuilding team, and what matters is getting young players more playing time for them to develop.

What is interesting though, is that despite their losing streak, the Houston Rockets are not the worst team in the league. The Rockets are 11-30, while the Minnesota Timberwolves are 10-32. StatMuse highlighted this fact in a recent tweet.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have been known as a hapless franchise for the past few years. They haven’t been able to surround Karl-Anthony Towns with a team that would let him compete in the playoffs. Players who leave often have better seasons, such as Andrew Wiggins with the Golden State Warriors. They also fired the only coach that’s managed to get them to the playoffs since the 2003-2004 season: Tom Thibodeau. Thibodeau is now thriving with the New York Knicks. Needless to say, some of the decisions made by the franchise were not the greatest.

It is crazy to think that the Minnesota Timberwolves have managed to have a worse season than a team that has lost twenty straight games. However, they do have a promising future: D’Angelo Russell will eventually come back from injury, and Anthony Edwards has been absolutely hooping. Perhaps next season is the season that the Minnesota Timberwolves will have more luck in being a playoff-caliber team.
