Jimmy Butler has already etched his name in the Miami Hat history books. Jimmy Butler lead the Miami Heat to the NBA Finals last season, but fell slightly short of the championship, losing to LeBron James in six games. Jimmy Butler’s Finals run was pretty good, as he toppled the Milwaukee Bucks in their second-round matchup.

Jimmy Butler has become a superstar with the Miami Heat. His legacy with the Miami Heat will always be compared to other players who have made history with the franchise. Dwyane Wade was a Miami Heat player who had the most success with the franchise, winning 3 championships with the Miami Heat. Dwyane Wade is not a media member. The former and current Heat superstars were both on Inside The NBA recently, and Jimmy Butler joked about always his legacy being compared to Dwyane Wade’s own accomplishments with the Heat.

Jimmy Butler has to win a couple of championships in order to be in the same company as Dwyane Wade accolade-wise. Dwyane Wade also has a Finals MVP award from his run in 2006 and has shown the ability to be the best player on a championship team. However, Jimmy Butler has already lead his team to the Finals, and if things go right, he could easily do it again.

Jimmy Butler is a great NBA player who is building his own legacy with the Miami Heat. Even if he doesn’t win an NBA championship, he was still able to take a team in the Finals and has achieved some solid statistical feats during the season.
