LeBron James is having a terrific season this year; after winning the 2020 NBA championship, the King picked things right where he left them and started this season leading the Lakers to be one of the best teams in the West and the entire NBA.

The last couple of games haven’t been easy for LeBron, though, as he has played OTs in two straight matches, something difficult for his body. He might be playing like he’s still in his 20s, but LeBron is 36 right now. He’s always in shape but this is too much for a guy his age. After the Lakers beat the Oklahoma City Thunder, he talked about the challenges of playing two straight overtimes at his age.

Moreover, he talked about his future in the league, revealing his plans of retirement or until when he hopes to keep playing. James is ready to lead this team to the promised land once again and even without Anthony Davis, he’s having a great term. That level is exactly what makes him believe he can play for at least 4 or 5 more years in the association.

“I don’t know how long I’m going to play the game. I don’t know how much more I’ll be able to give to the game, but the way I feel right now, we’ll see what happens. I have no timetable on it. … The game will let me know when it’s time.”

LeBron on how much longer he'll play: "I don't know how long I'm going to play the game. I don't know how much more I'll be able to give to the game, but the way I feel right now, we'll see what happens. I have no timetable on it. … The game will let me know when it's time."

LeBron in his 18th season, having yet to miss a game this year, and after playing 46 minutes last game, has 28 points, 14 boards and 12 assists tonight in 42 minutes.

James needs to get his rest or that will be hard to accomplish, which is why he was so vocal against the 2021 All-Star Game. That is a valuable time for the player. He is a man on a mission. He’s looking for that back-to-back championship and seeing how great the Lakers are playing right now, James has big chances to win his 5th championship this campaign.
