LeBron James Gives Respect To A Fan After Madden Match: “Good Game And Convo Bro”

LeBron James enjoyed playing Madden against a random fan and even had a conversation with him.

LeBron James loves playing Madden when he has some time on his hands and it appears that was the case on Friday night. James played against an individual with the username “ricankilla722” and shared his experience on X.

“Just got done playing ‘ricankilla722’ randomly on Madden. Got on the headset. Good game and convo bro! Some good laughs too! lol.”

That’s one fortunate individual who not only got to play against James but also have a conversation with him. Unsurprisingly, many started claiming that they were this user, as they chased some internet clout. It can be difficult to identify the individual in such a situation but we might just know who it was.

An X user named Marc-Anthony Rodriguez shared a picture of a game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Philadelphia Eagles and it included James’ reported Gamertag.

@KingJames good game Brody can’t believe I played you!!! Yes guys I’m ricankilla722 😂 pic.twitter.com/ZHsCg4GpEe

Well, 35-7 is a complete beatdown. There’s no shame in that, though, as James routinely destroys players in this game. In October, LeBron revealed he had earned a spot among the top 100 players in Madden NFL 25. He might not be as good at Madden as he is at basketball, but it’s close.

Understandably, Rodriguez’s account blew up after he posted that picture. When one fan said he got “belt to a**,” Rodriguez admitted James is just too good.

“Nah that mf is too damn nice. Them videos ain’t fake after all.”

One fan wondered what made James so good and Rodriguez stated he was incredible on defense.

“Bro he just takes whatever you give him. Defensively he’s crazy ngl.”

Another asked what their conversation was about and Rodriguez claimed James said he was funny.

“Bron called me funny so I’mma take that to the bank.”

Safe to say, Rodriguez won’t forget this night for the rest of his life. It’s an experience he will tell his grandchildren about someday.

Dalton Knecht Was Surprised By Just How Much LeBron James Loves Madden

There isn’t a lot that we don’t know about James, as he has had the spotlight on him for over two decades. His love for Madden is well-known and Los Angeles Lakers rookie Dalton Knecht was aware of it as well. He didn’t realize to what extent, though. During a practice session, Knecht was asked what he’d learned about James.

“How much he loves to play Madden,” Knecht said. “He always talks about him playing Madden but I didn’t really know it was that much. He watches it on the plane and stuff. He watches film just like it’s basketball. It’s crazy.”

You do wonder just how much better James would have been at Madden if he wasn’t dedicating so much time to basketball. The 20-time All-Star could have potentially been the greatest Madden player in history.

James, of course, would much rather be the greatest basketball player in history. He has got a good case for that too, but many believe he still needs to add to his resume to get that title. Will he though? Time will tell.

For now, James, who is averaging 23.5 points, 7.9 rebounds, 9.0 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.6 blocks per game in 2024-25, will be focusing on the Lakers’ next game against the Sacramento Kings at Crypto.com Arena on Saturday at 10:30 PM ET. The Lakers have won four of their last five games to improve to 17-13 and would be looking for another win against a Kings team that has just seen Mike Brown be fired as head coach.
