Doc Rivers On LeBron James: “He Does Everything Better Than He Did Five Years Ago.”

Even at 36-years-old, LeBron James is keeping his spot at the top of the league.

With season averages of 25.2 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 7.4 assists per game, Bron has emerged as an early MVP candidate, as the Lakers boast the best record in the West (14-4).

And while there has been a noticeable decline in Bron’s athleticism, there is no doubt that he still sits on the throne as the best player in the NBA. In fact, according to Clippers coach Doc Rivers, he’s even better than he was years ago.

“He does everything better than he did five years ago when he supposedly was in his prime,” Rivers said, via Tom Moore of the Bucks County Courier Times. “…He’ll go down as one of the greatest passers to ever play the game.”

Aas hard as it is to believe, Bron has made leaps when it comes to playmaking, ball handling, and shooting. As he has gone up in age, he has adapted his game so that he can be effective in a way that puts less of a strain on his body.

So far, it’s hard to argue with the results. In just his second season in Lakerland, James led his squad to a championship — and it’s looking like he might do it again this season.
