Doc Rivers Praises The Los Angeles Lakers: “They Have LeBron James And Anthony Davis. They’re Better Than Last Year.’

2 Min Read

With the Los Angeles Lakers sitting in 1st place in the Western Conference standings, it would be obvious that they are a team that a lot of other contenders want to beat. LeBron James and Anthony Davis are still there, and they have added elite players like Dennis Schroder and Montrezl Harrell. Needless to say, when one plays the Lakers, they better be ready.

Ahead of the Philadelphia 76ers matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers, coach Doc Rivers praised the Lakers and claimed that they were better than last year. While they have lost the veteran acumen of Rajon Rondo and Dwight Howard, they have made amazing additions that have made them one of the favorites for a title.

Doc Rivers offers some high praise while saying they’d be ready for the matchup. While it is doubtful that the Los Angeles Lakers will be going all-out during a regular-season game, a difficult matchup like the Lakers will provide a good barometer for the revamped 76ers squad. The 76ers are 1st in the Eastern Conference with a 12-6 record, but if they want to get over the hump in the postseason, beating the Lakers is a good start.

The Los Angeles Lakers have two superstars who should get them out of the Western Conference. While the Los Angeles Lakers have gotten better, there are others who want to take their crown, like the Philadelphia 76ers. Lakers fans will hope that the stretch of dominance for their team continues well into the future.
