Kendrick Perkins On Jaylen Brown: “Jaylen Brown Has Graduated Into The Conversation Of Elite Scorers.”

2 Min Read

Jaylen Brown has been turning many heads in the NBA community. Jaylen Brown is one of the best young talents in the NBA right now, and he does not seem to be slowing down anytime soon. Brown is currently averaging 27.3 PPG, good for 6th place in the league. Jaylen Brown is an elite two-way player and an offensive powerhouse and has a chance to lead the league in scoring at the end of the year.

After seeing some of Jaylen Brown’s ridiculous scoring, former Celtic Kendrick Perkins had something to say about his bucket getting. Perkins praised Brown after seeing a statistic that was shared by Ballislife.com

The statistic that Perkins shared refers to Jaylen Brown having scored 101 points in the last 3 games in only 85 minutes: that would average out to a little more than 28 minutes a game while getting around 33.6 PPG. That is some elite scoring from Jaylen Brown on limited minutes. While Brown has shown the ability to score, he never was in the top-10 of the league in scoring. During the 2020-21 season, Brown has exhibited that he is able to carry an offense similar to his co-star, Jayson Tatum. With two players who can each lead an offense, the Celtics are in for a great season.

The future is bright in Boston: two versatile forwards who can score form the foundation of their roster. Jaylen Brown is having himself a breakout year: now the key is for him to stay consistent and continue his development over the season. Hopefully, Brown’s scoring can translate to the postseason, where the Celtics will face the best competition in the league.
