Stephen A. Smith On Brooklyn Nets: “The Brooklyn Nets Are Going To The Finals, With Or Without Kyrie Irving”

The Brooklyn Nets have recently acquired former MVP and superstar, James Harden. After months of speculation as to Harden’s destination, he finally got traded to Brooklyn, which was one of his favored destinations. The Brooklyn Nets have a big three of Kyrie Irving, James Harden, and Kevin Durant, and it’s hard to bet against the kind of star power on their roster.

Kyrie Irving being away from the Brooklyn Nets is a considerable attention point for the media. With three stars, Brooklyn was projected as a lock for the Finals. Recently though, basketball analyst Stephen A. Smith has said that the Nets are making the Finals even without Kyrie Irving, who has recently been sitting out for personal reasons.

Smith stated that seeing the Brooklyn Nets in one game was enough for him to state that they are going to the Finals. He claimed that no-one could stop James Harden and Kevin Durant. That is a bold prediction, but Durant and Harden are both superstars. The offensive gravity of both players is colossal, so teams will have to pick their poison when facing the Brooklyn Nets. Kevin Durant has alleviated most injury concerns with his performances, so it is likely that he will be an MVP candidate once again.

We will have to wait and see whether the Brooklyn Nets breeze through the Eastern Conference like many are projecting them to. They are likely to do so, but basketball is unpredictable and everything can change in an instant.
