While Kyle Kuzma likes to show flashes of his potential, the young forward has yet to emerge as a legitimate third option for the Los Angeles Lakers. Aas one of the team’s most inconsistent players, you just never really know what you’re going to get from him on any given night.
Worse still is his defense, an area the former Utah star has never been strong in. In a recent tweet, ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins slammed Kuz on Twitter for it, saying he “can’t guard a parked car.”
I don’t know who gets picked on more out of Michael Porter JR. or Kyle Kuzma…but both Can’t Guard A Parked Car!!! Carry on…

The Lakers are lucky enough to have excellent defenders like Anthony Davis and Marc Gasol on their roster to help cover for shortcomings on the defensive end.
But if Kuz ever wants to step up and became that third star the Lakers want him to be, he’ll have to start doing better at slowing down his opponents and being more consistent on both ends of the floor.
The organization, no doubt, wants to see better, especially because since he was recently signed to a three-year, $40M contract extension.
