LeBron James just won his fourth NBA championship in the Orlando bubble in October and he’s six days away from starting a new campaign with the Los Angeles Lakers. Bron has been the best player on earth for quite some time now and he’s not planning to stop now. He’s not the young player that scared everybody in Miami but his game has evolved enough for him to still be a threat in the league.

Bron knows he’s the leader of the team but he needs to do different things to impact the game and he’s willing to do anything the team needs to be successful again. They have a championship to defend and they need Bron playing at his best level to reach their goals. In a recent interview, James showed his willingness to do whatever it takes to take his team to the promised land for the second straight season.

“If it presents for me to be the primary ball-handler and also try to lead the league in assists, I can (take that) responsibility … if our team doesn’t need that, that’s absolutely fine as well,” James said.

LeBron on role for this year: “If it presents for me to be the primary ballhandler and also try to lead the league in assists, I can (take that) responsibility … if our team doesn’t need that, that’s absolutely fine as well.”

He can go either way…

LeBron knows he’s not getting any younger and his body is letting him know that. He’s willing to change his game in order to stay healthy and not force himself to play more minutes than necessary. The King is still chasing Michael Jordan and he needs to three-peat with these Lakers to tie MJ’s six championships.

He knows he has to play smarter and not harder if he wants to keep playing at least until he’s 40 and share touches with Bronny James in the league.
