Avery Bradley has joined the Miami Heat on a 2-year deal after spending the 2019/20 season with the Los Angeles Lakers. Bradley refused to join the Lakers in the Orlando bubble due to health concerns and his future with the team was unclear during the offseason. Well, Bradley confirmed what some people believed and went to South Beach to join Jimmy Butler, Goran Dragic and the Heat.

This moves sparked many reactions from Lakers fans, who took to Twitter to explain their views on this move. Jacob Ortiz of LegionHoops reminded the Lakers fanbase of all the things that Bradley did in a season with the purple and gold and asked for their opinions.

Lakers fans, Avery Bradley:

– Helped lead the Lakers to No. 1 seed.
– Didn’t join the bubble due to high-risk son.
– Got a ring from front office.
– Didn’t re-sign, and signed with the Heat on a 2-year deal.

Thoughts?

What followed was a heated debate with some wishing the best to Bradley and others calling him names for his decision.

Definitely hurts the lakers. Re-signing Bradley, morris, kcp was the only way I though the trezz signing made sense. But without him and rondo lakers Definitely got dramatically worst on defense and only slightly improved on offense.

snake.

Not deserve his ring. He also went and left the lakers for the team we played in the finals. Ik he left for the money and he made the right decision for himself but he’s decision disgusts and he’s honestly no laker in my book. I’m sure he’s a great guy but he means nothing too me

Great business…

Get paid..a ring, and chase another bag.

Everyone who left the lakers don't care about winning again, they want a contract and that bag! So…go get it!

Not understanding how he couldn't join the bubble (safest place to be) yet plans on playing this season. We won without him anyway so good luck in Miami. 🐍

So why would he play now?

I know why Heat did it but very interesting? Maybe because the Lakers didn’t commit right away he Looked at the next best option available & Heat isn’t a bad option. If he did it out of spite, I think he will get everything he deserves

Lakers didn’t need him to play playoff minutes, he did his job got paid for it and the ring was his bonus let the man go hoop

We obviously don’t need him. He wanted a raise for not playing? And only got like a small raise from the Heat. Sign KCP and move on.

The man refused to play in the bubble which was the safest place but now all of a sudden he wants to play. He can fvck off

Bradley opted out of his contract this season, rejecting $5 million with the Lakers.

This decision, just like Dwight Howard joining the Philadelphia 76ers, hurt the Lakers fans. Avery didn’t go to play in the bubble because of health concerns and now he’ll join the Heat in the zone where the virus is out of control. That’s what makes Lakers fans mad but there is nothing they can do about it. Bradley reportedly liked the Heat culture and decided to join a team that played in the Finals last season.
