Houston Rockets Reveal What They Want For James Harden: A Monstrous Return Of Players, Draft Picks And Pick Swaps

The Houston Rockets made it clear that they didn’t want to part ways with James Harden during his prime a couple of weeks ago. That seems to be their mindset today but they might be getting ready for life after Harden. The Beard has been linked with a couple of teams in recent times, setting the alarms for the Rockets and their fans. Moreover, it’s been reported that the Rockets already know what they want in case somebody engages in trade talks with them.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski recently revealed what the Rockets want in return for their star and the price is not low. According to Woj, the Rockets made it clear that they won’t part ways with the Beard unless they receive a ‘monstrous return of players, draft picks and pick swaps.’

Harden has been increasingly uneasy about the Rockets ability to compete for an NBA future and has been considering the possibility of pushing to play elsewhere before his contract expires, sources said.

If the Rockets did decide to engage in trade talks on Harden, they’ve privately made it clear that they would require a monstrous return of players, draft picks and pick swaps. The Nets have two borderline All-Star guards on the roster — Caris LeVert and Spencer Dinwiddie — and several more intriguing young players.

The Nets have been linked with the 2018 NBA MVP. Moreover, some reports suggested he is seeing with good eyes a move to Brooklyn to reunite with former teammate Kevin Durant and join Kyrie Irving. Harden is one of the greatest scorers in the history of the league and a move of this magnitude would be incredible for the Rockets.

As for the Nets, they would have yet more things to figure out before the egos of this potential Big 3 destroy their chemistry.

Harden couldn’t click with Russell Westbrook in Houston this year and now could be time for him to play for his third team in the league.
