NBA Rumors: Nashville Could Host Toronto Raptors Next Season

2 Min Read

The NBA is set to start next December 22 and every team in the league will have to move fast to start the upcoming campaign the best possible way. One of the teams that will face plenty of challenges is the Toronto Raptors, who normally play in Canada. This season, though, things could change for them, as the travel ban in the country is prompting them to look for alternative arenas to play their home games.

It’s been reported that cities like Louisville, Brooklyn and even Kansas City could host the Raptors next season but now a dark horse is making an appearance. Nashville is reportedly one of the cities that could receive the Raptors during this season, according to The Athletic’s Adam Vingan. The picture doesn’t look good for the Raptors now and it’s unlikely that things will change for them in December.

Nashville is among the cities being considered as a temporary home for the NBA’s Toronto Raptors, according to a source with knowledge of the team’s plans.

Raptors officials visited Nashville earlier this week, the source said. Bridgestone Arena, home to the NHL’s Predators, regularly hosts the SEC men’s basketball tournament.

Toronto is looking for options now and this appears to be a good one. They have other alternatives and the last say on this matter. It remains to be seen what they are going to do before the 2020/21 NBA season starts.
