One of the knocks you usually hear people saying about the WNBA is that the players aren’t athletic or gifted enough. Well, we know for a fact that people who say that have never watched a single minute of WNBA basketball.

Take, for instance, Breanna Stewart, who’s coming off being named unanimous Finals MVP after leading the Seattle Storm to yet another title with his impressive efforts on both ends of the floor.

Contrary to what critics of the WNBA may say or think, this girl is a gifted athlete with impressive physical gifts and traits. As a matter of fact, he has a longer wingspan (7’1”) than NBA Finals MVP LeBron James (7’0.25”), even though LeBron stands at 6’8” while she stands at 6’4”.

I believe no one has ever questioned or doubted LeBron James’ athleticism or physical capacities to play the game of basketball at a high level, especially after watching what he’s been able to do at age 35 and during his 17th season in the NBA.

LeBron James is one of the greatest and most gifted athletes to ever live. Moreover, the way he takes care of his body and his mind is one of the biggest reasons why he’s been able to beat Father Time and continue to perform at an elite level after almost two decades in the NBA.

James has the size, strength, and basketball IQ to excel at all five spots on the basketball court. He can play and guard one through five, and even though he doesn’t have the longer wingspan in the league, it’s pretty clear that he can match up with longer and taller opposition.

So, the next time someone calls you out for watching and enjoying the WNBA and tries to play down their athleticism, just let them know about Breanna Stewart’s wingspan.
