Steve Kerr Takes A Shot At James Harden And The Houston Rockets: “We’re Not Gonna All Of A Sudden Turn Into Rockets And Have One Guy Go High Pick And Roll 70 Times A Game”

Steve Kerr has always been known for his sense of humor, which he often uses to take some light jabs at the Golden State Warriors’ rivals.

That’s why it didn’t come as a surprise to see him taking a huge shot at James Harden and the Houston Rockets when asked about the new look of the Golden State Warriors ahead of next season:

“We’re still gonna be the Warriors. We’re not gonna turn into the Rockets and change our offense and have one guy go high pick-and-roll 70 times a game,” Kerr told The Athletic.

Kerr and the Warriors have been a bit of a nemesis for the Rockets in the playoffs, so it’s pretty clear that he knows how to pick apart their offense and defense like no one else, and like most old-school basketball fans, he isn’t exactly fond of James Harden’s style.

As for the Golden State Warriors, they’re going to be back at full strength again for the upcoming campaign after struggling for most of the season with nagging pains and injuries.

Klay Thompson is reportedly practicing without any kind of limitations, while Stephen Curry and Draymond Green are fully healthy. On top of that, they’re going to have the second overall pick of the upcoming Draft in their power.

The Dubs have addressed the need to add more size and depth this offseason so whether they’ll use the pick as a trade asset or to get one of the top prospects of the year is yet to be seen.

At least, what we can be sure of, is the fact that the Golden State Warriors will still be the Warriors and feature their full-motion, fast-paced offense, while the Rockets don’t even have a coach right now.
