LeBron James led the Lakers to a pretty convincing blowout win over the Heat in Game 1. But, after the contest, number 23 wasn’t in a very celebratory mood.
Instead, in his post-game chat with the media, he kept his focus on the games ahead, reminding the world this isn’t over yet.
“We got so much more work to do. Job is not done. We’re not satisfied with winning one game.”

LeBron has been in this position before and he has been on both sides of it.
During the 2011 Finals, for example, Bron and his Heat had a meltdown in Game 2 that ultimately had the series tied at 1-1 going back to Dallas. As he said after the game tonight, it’s a moment that still haunts him to this day.
"That s— burns me to this day."

So now is not the time to get complacent. Yes, the Lakers are the favorites and, yes, they’re looking really solid heading into Game 2. But if this Heat team has shown us anything over these playoffs, it’s that they should never be counted out.
James and his squad certainly won’t be making that mistake.
