Since Dwyane Wade hung up his jersey last summer, the dude has been living his best life. Making appearances as an analyst on TNT, interacting with the fans through Twitter, and spending time with his loving family have probably made retirement a pretty sweet time for the former Miami Heat star.
But with the Lakers and Heat set to face off in the Finals this season, the community can’t help but imagine what it might be like to have him return to his former team and help them take down his best friend LeBron James.
Can the Miami Heat sign Dwyane Wade & just let him sit next to Udonis Haslem & heckle LeBron James during the NBA Finals? We never saw those dudes battle in the playoffs but I'll settle for that.

Wade could’ve been playing against LeBron in the finals if he stayed one more year. He could’ve came off the bench and been solid. That would’ve been cool to see.

Imagine if Wade didn’t retire and we got to see Wade vs LeBron 😢

Since Wade and LeBron were both in the East for the vast majority of their careers, we never got to see them battle it out in the Finals. In fact, they have never faced each other even once in the playoffs — and it’s a true shame.
Not only were they friends, but they were also two of the best players in the league for a while. To see them go at it with all the stakes on the line would have been awesome.
This season, even under the current circumstances, it’d still be pretty sweet to have Wade there to heckle King James.
But, unfortunately, it’s more on the side of fantasy than anything. Wade has put his playing days behind him and there’s no reason to believe he’ll open that door again. And why should he?
We’ll just have to keep that scenario in our heads.
