Anthony Edwards: “Nobody Is Better Than Me In The Draft”

The 2020 NBA draft lottery is taking place tonight and both players and teams will have a better picture of how their future will look once the next NBA campaign starts. Some players are feeling confident they can make a instant impact on any team that decides that draft them. One of those is Anthony Edwards, who has claimed he is the best player in his draft class.

Players like LaMelo Ball, Obi Toppin, and James Wiseman are ready to enter the 2020 NBA draft. They have high expectations and are great players but Edwards is confident nobody is better than him this year. It’s highly likely that he’ll end up as the #1 overall pick this year and with all due reason, he believes.

“I feel like the defensive end — if I lock in every time on the defensive end, nobody’s better than me in the draft,” he told Bleacher Report’s Taylor Rooks before the NBA season was shut down in March. “Of course I feel like I can score the best. I can pass, rebound — all type of stuff.

“But I feel like defense is gonna separate everybody in the draft.”

Edwards talked about the things that he’d like to join. He mentioned the Golden State Warriors, referring to its big 3 as a big factor.

“Who wouldn’t love to play with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green,” Edwards said. “They could make me better at all times.

“So yeah, I’d love to play with them.”

He also mentioned the Atlanta Hawks, saying it would be a ‘dream come true’ if he gets to play at home, revealing he has a good relationship with both Trae Young and Cam Reddish.

The Warriors have a big chance to land Edwards but everything will be decided tonight when the draft lottery will dispel doubts about the draft order this year.
