Steven Adams On Living In The Bubble: “This Is Not Syria.”

Since the first players made it to the bubble, several complaints have been made about the condition of the hotel rooms, the service they’re getting, and most famously, about the food. A lot of players shared their thoughts about the food and its state, but that was only a two-day thing since that was the 48-hour quarantine food for players.

Not everybody is on the same page though, as Ja Morant of the Grizzlies, who said everything was fine for him. Moreover, Steven Adams of the Thunder had some strong words for those players who don’t see how blessed they are for all the things the league is providing in the bubble. Now those complaints are gone but Adams made sure to remind everybody that they’re privileged to be in the place they are.

“It’s all good, mate,” Adams said when talking about the difficulties of living in the bubble. “Let’s be clear, mate: This is not Syria, mate. You know what I mean? It’s not that hard. It’s not that difficult. We’re living in a bloody resort.

“Everyone’s got a complaint. Everyone’s got their own preferences, but it’s not anything too serious. Just a bit of dry food here and there, get bored every now and then. But it’s all good.”

The troubling beginning is now part of the past and now players and coaches feel safe and very comfortably in Orlando. The league hasn’t stopped and they’re building a barbershop inside the bubble so players can keep a fresh look during the weeks they spend there.

Adams is putting things into perspective and it’s hard to disagree with him. It’s only dried food, they’re not living in a warzone.
