LeBron James losing the 2011 NBA Finals was like a carnival for his haters, who found a lot of material to criticize the King for his inability to win. At that time, Bron had teamed up with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami to form the famous Big 3 in South Beach. Everybody thought they first season they would found success, but Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks told otherwise, beating the Heat in 6 games.

After the series was over, Bron talked about all the people that were happy to see his failure, including the people of Cleveland, Dan Gilbert and everybody who enjoyed watching him lose the Finals for the second time in his career. When asked if he was bothered by the fact that a lot of people was actually enjoying his failure, Bron said:

“Absolutely not. At the end of the day, all the people that was rooting on me to fail, they got to wake up tomorrow and have the same life that they had before they woke up today. They got the same personal they had today and I’m gonna continue to live the way I want to live and continue to do the things that I wanna do. Me and my family and be happy with that so you know they can get a few days or a few months or whatever the case may be on being happy about not only myself but the Miami Heat not accomplishing that goal, but you know, they got to get back to the real world at some point.”

Bron struggled against the Dallas Mavericks during that series, with Jason Terry doing a great job guarding him, having some memorable moments during that series. He averaged 17.8 points, 7.2 rebounds and 6.8 assists per game. In the next Finals, he posted 28.6 points, 10.2 rebounds and 7.4 assists per contest.

It looks like Bron already had a response ready for that question. In the end, he continued to be a great player, one of the best in the world and one who would become a world champion the next year, when the Heat dominated the Oklahoma City Thunder in 5 games.

Now Bron is a 3-time NBA champion and even though he still has haters, he’s proven them wrong more than once.
