Celebrations are an integral part of basketball, as it is a unique tool for players to distinguish themselves from others after a big moment in the game. All the legends have iconic moments where they’ve hit now-famous celebration moves, with modern legends like Stephen Curry and LeBron James atop that list currently.

NBA players from around the league were asked to pick their favorite celebrations, with some of the best celebrations we’ve seen in recent times getting love from other players.

Draymond Green, Devin Booker, Jaren Jackson Jr., Austin Reaves, Norman Powell, Tyrese Maxey, and Jared McCain chose Stephen Curry’s ‘Night Night’, while Andre Drummond and Caleb Martin picked LeBron James’ ‘Crown Me’ celebration.

Nikola Jokic and DeAndre Jordan represented their teammate Jamal Murray by picking his arrow three-point celebration. Bradley Beal and Kristaps Porzingis picked Carmelo Anthony’s ‘Three to the Dome’ celebration. Damian Lillard and Bucks teammate MarJon Beauchamp selected Lillard’s ‘Dame Time.’

Kyrie Irving picked his celebration where he flexes his left hand, born from his game-winner against the Nuggets last season. The celebration was also selected by Mavericks teammate Dwight Powell. Klay Thompson picked his own celebration of the three-point goggles, as did D’Angelo Russell with his ‘Ice in my Veins’ celebration.

De’Aaron Fox, Luke Kennard, and Bones Hyland picked Mikal Bridges’ three-point celebration. Bogdan Bogdanovic and Jaylen Brown picked Trae Young‘s ‘Too Cold’ shimmy, while Clint Capela picked former teammate James Harden‘s ‘Stirring the Pot’ celebration which recently made a return.

Unsurprisingly, Curry’s ‘Night Night’ leads the list as a personal favorite of multiple stars from around the league. The fact that Curry used the celebration multiple times during his 2022 Championship run and then brought it out in crunch time during the 2024 Olympics has made the celebration even more iconic.

LeBron James’ ‘Crown Me’ celebration is liked, and the star has a host of other celebrations uniquely attached to him. But he hasn’t had anything as culturally enduring as Curry’s ‘Night Night.’

Other celebrations like Dame Time, or Harden’s stirring the pot will always be iconic due to the big moments they’ve been busted out after. Mikal Bridges’ three-point celly and Trae Young’s ice-cold shimmy are incredibly unique and distinctive, but the league is full of incredible celebrations nowadays.

Now, it’s just a question of who will be the creator behind the NBA’s next most popular celebration.
