Lonzo Ball Selects His All-Time Starting 5

2 Min Read

New Orleans Pelicans point guard Lonzo Ball is the latest NBA player to name his all-time starting five. Ever since the NBA shut down the season, we’ve seen more players and legends doing this kind of list. Now, Lonzo revealed what players he considers would be part of his all-time starting lineup.

Talking with Jim Eichenhofer of Pelicans.com, Ball named some legends from the past and a couple of current stars, including his childhood idol, LeBron James, whom he played in the Lakers last season.

All-time NBA starting five: “Magic at the 1, Jordan at the 2, LeBron at the 3, Kevin Durant at 4, Shaq at the 5.”

The Lakers sent Ball to New Orleans last offseason, in a package that included Josh Hart, Brandon Ingram and draft picks in exchange for Anthony Davis. This season didn’t start in the best way for Lonzo, but he was able to make the right adjustments and find his place with the Pels, sharing touches with rookie sensation Lonzo Ball.

Before the season was suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak, Ball was recording 12.4 points, 6.2 rebounds and 7.0 assists with his new team. When people believed his career was over, Lonzo told otherwise, having more and more good performances for the Pelicans, who were fighting for the 8th spot in the Western Conference.
