Damian Lillard Reacts To April Fools Day Prank That He Wanted To Be Traded To The Lakers

1 Min Read

With all the COVID-19 stuff going around, you may have forgotten what day it is.

That’s right, it’s April Fools Day! And while the world may be distracted at the moment, not everyone missed the opportunity for a prank.

The most popular one of the day was the lie that Damian Lillard wanted a trade to the Los Angeles Lakers. It was going viral for a while until Lillard shut it down. He responded with a reference to April Fools’ Day itself and seemingly laughed off the idea that the scenario was even close to reality.

Clearly, Lillard is highly entertained by the bit of “fake news” that April Fools Day sprung up about him.

Seriously though, Lillard is about as loyal as they come. Despite being in a relatively small market and on a team that has had limited success, Dame is determined to bring a title to the city.

He’s not someone that just dips out when the going gets tough, especially not for a team like the Lakers. Next time someone wants to pull an April Fools joke, perhaps they should go with a more believable story?
