Enes Kanter Reacts To Kevin Durant’s Reasoning For Leaving The Thunder

In an appearance on “All The Smoke” podcast, Kevin Durant revealed one of the seasons he left OKC. According to the 2x Finals MVP, his decision to leave his former team stemmed from the desire to be surrounded by shooters and playmakers rather than one-dimensional athletes. In his mind, the burden of having to carry his team on offense was just too much to bear.

His former Thunder teammate Enes Kanter recently issued a response to the statement, straight up laughing at the words of Durant:

LMFAO 🤣 https://t.co/ym6kYvaesq

It’s ironic that Kanter would be the one to respond because he seems to fit the mold of exactly the type of player Durant was talking about. He’s a good rebounder and decent finisher, but his bag of tricks is limited offensively — and almost nonexistent defensively.

Compare that to who the Warriors had in Steph, Klay, and Draymond, and the difference is glaring.

In Brooklyn, Durant will be surrounded by shooters once again, in Kyrie, Dinwiddie, Harris, and LeVert. He knows what he wants, and OKC wasn’t able to provide it for him at the time.

Reagrdless, it will always be a sensitive subject, especially to those in and around OKC at the time.
