Stephen Curry has replied to Allen Iverson’s comments about him being in his top 5 players of all time. The Golden State Warriors superstar was praised by AI last year, who claimed that Curry would be the starting point guard if he were to put together an all-time starting five.

Those comments were well received by Curry, as the two-time MVP admitted in an episode of Showtime’s “All The Smoke” that he has Iverson’s remark saved on his phone.

“I ain’t never had a big head. That dude who I picked up a lot of game and inspiration from — he’s now looking at my game … Some OGs, they don’t want to relinquish the praise. Same way we respect the OGs, we want it both ways. So when you do hear that, that means something,” Curry said in the show’s latest episode that is set to premiere this Thursday.

Iverson was one of the most famous players in the 2000s and the impact he had on the game and how he inspired young generations is visible now.

Many of the players we see in the league right now looked up at the Sixers legend, and Curry isn’t an exception. The three-time NBA champion has admitted in the past that he always low key wanted to be Iverson.

Despite being sidelined due to a broken hand this season, Curry is still considered one of the best players in the world. You have to be something special for someone like Allen Iverson to give him such big praise.

Curry is definitely one of the best players in the NBA today and will surely end his career as the best shooter in NBA history.
