Injuries are a part of sports, and even though we hate them and try to prevent them at all costs, they’re always going to happen, especially in such a physical sport like professional basketball.

Contents
  • Point Guard: Isaiah Thomas
  • Shooting Guard: DeJounte Murray
  • Small Forward: Michael Porter Jr
  • Power Forward: Kristaps Porzingis
  • Center: DeMarcus Cousins

Obviously, considering the huge paychecks they hand to NBA players, teams are always extremely cautious when it comes to coming back from injury, so players may take a lot of time before deciding it’s safe for them to try and play through the pain.

This season, we’ve seen several great players fall down with injury, and even though it looks like some of them aren’t missed by their teams, NBA fans would really love to see them on the court. That’s why, we’re going to let you know about the NBA’ All-Injured team, as of today.

Point Guard: Isaiah Thomas

Isaiah Thomas Denver Nuggets

Isaiah Thomas is coming off the worst season of his career since establishing himself as one of the best scorers in the league, and he’s still nursing a back injury that will keep him sidelined until at least late December.

Thomas’s scoring ability will be truly welcome by the Denver Nuggets, who are currently leading the Western Conference and looking to put an end to their playoff drought. Hopefully, he can get back to full strength.

Shooting Guard: DeJounte Murray

DeJounte Murray suffered a season-ending knee injury on a preseason game against the Houston Rockets, just when he was supposed to hold onto the Spurs’ starting point guard spot following the Tony Parker era.

Murray had shown great defensive versatility and an underrated playmaking ability as well, even though he needs to put a lot of work on his outside shot. Hopefully, he’s not going to be a one-hit wonder and he’s able to come back stronger.

Small Forward: Michael Porter Jr

Michael Porter Jr

Michael Porter Jr was once considered to be the most talented player on his Draft class, but serious concerns about a knee injury caused him to slip drastically, with the Nuggets taking a huge gamble on him.

Porter doesn’t have a timetable to return, but he has a Kevin Durant-esque offensive skill set and the ability to shoot lights out from all three levels. Still, we’re yet to see if he can translate those tools into the NBA.

Power Forward: Kristaps Porzingis

5 Moves The New York Knicks Should Make This Summer Porzingis

There’s a huge chance Kristaps Porzingis ends up missing the entire season as the Knicks will most likely shut him down for the year if they are not competing for a playoff spot, something that seems unlikely at this point.

Porzingis is one of the best scoring big men in the league and he’s still quite young, so the team shouldn’t rush him back to the court by all means. If the Knicks land John Wall, that duo is going to turn a lot of heads for years.

Center: DeMarcus Cousins

DeMarcus Cousins was playing the best season of his career before falling down with an Achilles injury, and he’s set to take the court right after Christmas to make the Warriors even scarier.

When healthy, Boogie is a top 3 big man in this league and he’s finally going to make his playoff debut. Also, if Durant walks away in the summer, there’s a huge chance they lock him down for the long run.
