The Olympics brings together athletes from various sports and tennis star Emma Navarro got to link up with LeBron James before the opening ceremony. Navarro took a selfie with James and posted it on Instagram with quite a hilarious caption, as she referred to the Los Angeles Lakers star’s iconic meme.

In case someone didn’t get the reference, Navarro also shared the original picture that LeBron had famously posted back in 2018.

That was hilarious on Navarro’s part and the picture has gone viral on social media. This is actually the second time the meme has been recreated this month. LeBron’s youngest son Bryce James recreated it too when he posted a picture of himself in a pool.

While LeBron is competing in the Olympics for the fourth time in his career this year, Navarro is making her debut at this edition. The 23-year-old is currently ranked No. 15 in the world and is the No. 11 seed at the grand event. She’ll be playing against Austria’s Julia Grabher in the opening round.

Getting back to that original picture, Jessica Pegula and Desirae Krawczyk are the two other individuals in it. The presence of James, Navarro, and Pegula means that three billionaire families are represented in that image.

LeBron was officially named a billionaire by Forbes in 2022 and now has a net worth of $1.2 billion. As for Emma, her father Ben Navarro has a net worth of $1.5 billion. That’s a lot of wealth but it pales in comparison to Jessica’s father Terry Pegula, who has a net worth of $6.8 billion.

LeBron James Is Hoping To Inspire The Next Generation At The Olympics

The 2024 Olympics will be LeBron’s last and he was chosen to be one of the flag bearers for the U.S. It was quite the honor and James spoke about the Olympics being a great opportunity to inspire the next generation.

“I think what’s different is always a new experience,” said James. “Some guys have never been Olympians, so you want them to see the whole moment of being here. It’s a great opportunity for myself to continue to inspire the next generation. I’m super excited to be here and I’ve been a part of Athens, Greece, the Athens Games, the Beijing Games, the London Games, and now the Paris Games. They are always special in their own right. It’s 2024 and this is another special moment not only for this country of France but also for us other Olympians that are here representing the United States of America.”

LeBron helped Team USA win the gold in Beijing in 2008 and London in 2012. The 39-year-old has his eyes set on winning a third gold medal in Paris and I give him a great chance at doing so.

James is heading up a star-studded roster and while the team didn’t quite perform as expected in the exhibition games, I think they’ll get their act together when it matters most. Should they find themselves in a pinch at some point, the 20-time All-Star showed in those games that he is still capable of dragging the team across the finish line. Team USA has been drawn into Group C at the Olympics, along with Serbia, South Sudan, and Puerto Rico.

His passion for the sport was ignited after witnessing the high-octane offense of the Steve Nash-led Phoenix Suns. Among the Suns, Shawn Marion stood out to Gautam as an all-time underrated NBA player. Marion’s versatility as a defender and his rebounding prowess, despite being just 6’7”, impressed Gautam immensely. He admired Marion’s finishing ability at the rim and his shooting, despite an unconventional jump shot, believing that Marion’s skill set would have been even more appreciated in today’s NBA.This transformative experience not only deepened his love for basketball but also shaped his approach to sports writing, enabling him to connect with readers through vivid storytelling and insightful analysis.
