NBA fans had some jokes to make after pictures of LeBron James with South African pop star Tyla at a pre-Olympics event went viral. Many joked that James would land himself in trouble with his wife, Savannah, and wind up sleeping on the couch after he returned to his house at the conclusion of Team USA’s Olympic run.

Fans immediately started making jokes about their interaction, with some suggesting that LeBron might land himself in hot water with his wife.

Some fans joked that James being stoic and not making any contact was him learning his lesson from previous pictures, as he didn’t want to get in trouble.

One other fan made a joke about James’ chivalrous ways, along with a picture of his now-infamous interaction with Jeanie Buss and Linda Rambis earlier in the season.

This isn’t the first time James has met with Tyla, as he was spotted talking to her during the previous NBA season when she attended a Lakers game against the Warriors. The details of the conversation between the two were never revealed.

Fans were of course joking around, as James has never been known to engage in any kind of inappropriate and unbecoming behavior on his part. James has been married to Savannah, his high school sweetheart, for almost 11 years, and the two have been together well before LeBron even made it to the NBA.

James’ serious demeanor may have been because of his intense focus on the goal at hand – leading Team USA to the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics. James is one of the leaders of the team, and one of the most experienced Olympic players on the team, having participated at three different Olympic games in the past.

Tyla was at the event in an artist capacity, performing her hit song ‘Water’ at the Prelude to the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

LeBron James And Team USA On A Mission For Gold

This summer, LeBron James and Team USA are looking to secure their fifth consecutive gold medal at the Olympic games. After last year’s humiliating exit from the FIBA World Cup, Team USA is on the hunt for redemption, which is why they recruited some of the best players in the league to adorn the jersey.

LeBron James has shown out in Team USA’s showcase games, making some important plays and securing big wins for them, as they look to gain momentum going forward. In their last showcase game, LeBron James outscored the entire German team in the final minutes of the game.

Team USA will be led by LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Joel Embiid, who Steve Kerr has named as the undisputed starters. With players like Kevin Durant, Anthony Edwards, Anthony Davis, and Jayson Tatum also available, the incredible depth of talent that Team USA has makes them the undisputed favorites to win the gold medal this year.

Team USA cannot become complacent though, as the level of competition in international basketball is incredibly high. Team USA this year is set to face 61 active NBA players as part of the Olympic games, 52 more than the iconic Dream Team faced in 1992 in their dominant run to the gold medal. This will be a difficult challenge for Team USA, but they have the talent to come out on top.
