Hours leading up to the NBA Draft, where his son Bronny will hear his name called, LeBron James (39) was allegedly enjoying lunch out on “Au Cheval” in New York City. Unfortunately for James, his location was revealed online after an angry fan posted to the internet as payback for not taking a picture.
“Yo LeBron dumped my picture so I’m about to make his sh*t dumb hot! Everybody pull up, he’s having lunch right here. Everybody pull up to Au Cheval, he’s sitting right there. His security dumped my sh*t. But if anybody wants a picture with LeBron, pull up right here he’s eating lunch with Dwyane Wade.”
Angry fan dropped LeBron James location online for refusing to take a picture with him 🤦♂️

LeBron wasn’t actually in the video, neither was Dwyane Wade or anyone else associated with the NBA. While James is no doubt in New York for the draft right now (which is being held in Barclays Center), there’s no way to know for sure that he was in that restaurant at the time the man claimed.
Regardless, even if the story checks out, there’s nothing wrong with denying a picture to a random fan. As the 4x MVP prepares for a huge moment for himself and his family (the drafting of his son to the NBA) being bombarded by fans during a trip to get lunch is probably the last thing he wants to deal with.
Online, the “angry fan” felt the heat from critics who blasted him for resorting to such methods. LeBron doesn’t owe anyone a photo and he certainly didn’t deserve to be exposed like that for wanting to preserve his privacy. While some called for the man’s arrest, others simply used the experience to remind people that this type of behavior is not okay.
For James, a 4x NBA champion, he’s used to dealing with situations like this and he has a security team that is more than capable of managing a crowd. After 20+ years of dealing with wild fans and petty haters, he knows how to handle this with ease. Now, he’s passing on this knowledge to his son with the hope that he can handle things in a similar way when/if he makes it in the league.
