Sunday was Father’s Day and Michael Jordan’s kids wished him on the special occasion. Marcus Jordan shared a picture of himself, his two siblings, Jeffrey and Jasmine, and their father on Instagram, and sent a message.

“Happy Father’s Day Dad. We love you. Crack the Cincoro Extra Anejo open and take a shot for us. 1-of-1 GOAT.”

Jeffrey, Marcus, and Jasmine are Jordan’s children from his first marriage, to Juanita Vanoy. Jeffrey is the oldest of the three and was born on November 18, 1988, about a year before his parents tied the knot on September 2, 1989. Marcus was then born on  December 24, 1990, and almost two years later, Jasmine was born on December 7, 1992.

While Jordan and Vanoy officially split on December 29, 2006, the three children remain very close to their father to this day. Marcus and Jasmine even accompanied Jordan on his recent trip to Huntersville, North Carolina to take a look at 23XI Racing’s new “Airspeed” headquarters.

Jordan has been a co-owner of 23XI Racing since 2021 with Denny Hamlin and this new headquarters for the team, which competes in NASCAR, was opened in May. Here is a clip of Jordan checking out the facility.

The facility was built in eight months and has a cafe as well as a gym. No expense has been spared and Jordan would be hoping that more success on the track follows. The team has recorded six race victories in total since its inception and is currently sixth in the owner standings with 527 points this season.

Getting back to Jordan’s personal life, Jeffrey, Marcus, and Jasmine aren’t his only children. He married Cuban-American model Yvette Prieto on April 27, 2013, and the couple welcomed identical twin daughters named Victoria and Ysabel on February 11, 2014. Jordan also became a grandfather when Jasmine gave birth to a boy named Rakeem Michael Christmas in 2019.

Marcus And Jeffrey Jordan Once Scared Their Father With Rubber Snakes

Like most children, Jordan’s sons also loved to play pranks on their father. In one instance, Marcus revealed that he and Jeffrey scared Jordan by throwing a bunch of rubber snakes on his bed.

“He’s terrified of snakes. My dad is terrified of snakes, literally. There was this one time when my brother and I, we were young, probably like 12 and 14.”

“We got a bunch of rubber snakes, and we threw them in my dad’s room on top of the bed, in the master bedroom. And I’ll never forget when he got home. .. .we were grounded.”

I can only imagine the shock on Jordan’s face when he saw snakes on his bed. That shock soon turned into anger and Marcus revealed he ran around the house to figure out who did it. Once he realized his sons were behind it, they were promptly grounded.

His passion for the sport was ignited after witnessing the high-octane offense of the Steve Nash-led Phoenix Suns. Among the Suns, Shawn Marion stood out to Gautam as an all-time underrated NBA player. Marion’s versatility as a defender and his rebounding prowess, despite being just 6’7”, impressed Gautam immensely. He admired Marion’s finishing ability at the rim and his shooting, despite an unconventional jump shot, believing that Marion’s skill set would have been even more appreciated in today’s NBA.This transformative experience not only deepened his love for basketball but also shaped his approach to sports writing, enabling him to connect with readers through vivid storytelling and insightful analysis.
