But in the end, James decided he wanted to fulfill the promise he made to Cavs fans and win a championship with them. James kept that promise in 2016, as the Cavaliers beat the Warriors in the 2016 NBA Finals to win the title.

Over the past few months, there has been speculation that LeBron could pull the same trick and return to Cleveland for a third stint with the Cavaliers this offseason. LeBron James is a free agent this year and might want to prioritize playing with his son Bronny, who might get drafted into the league.
