On social media this week, former Lakers star Nick Young revealed some of the shocking details behind an old encounter between Gilbert Arenas and American actress Draya Michele. In a story told by Nick ‘Swaggy P’ Young, he explains how he saw the former NBA guard “getting close” with Michele in the backseat of a car on the way to the strip club.
“If they only knew. I was shocked too. That day when I was riding home with Philly. I don’t know if I can tell that story or if you want me to tell that story,” said Young. “She’s a mother now. I can’t do that. That day changed my life. That day was when Swaggy P was like, okay, this is what the NBA is about… I’m riding in the car and he’s in the back seat. What were you doing in that back seat, Gil?”

Arenas was originally reluctant to tell the story and reminded Young that she had a child on the way before the conversation started. Even so, they exposed the past anyway and it has opened up Draya Michele to major slander online.
As for Gilbert, it’s not surprising that he’s got some party stories from his time in the league. He was notorious back in the day for his “loose” off-court activities, which apparently included indulging himself at the strip clubs. Of course, on at least one occasion, his shenanigans included a woman who is currently spoken for.
Draya Michele, a 39-year-old media personality, model, actress, and fashion designer, recently announced that she’s expecting a child with Houston Rockets star Jalen Green, and the two have been spotted together for months now. Michele had to come out and defend herself after the big announcement earlier this year and sent a message directly to the haters on social media.
“Also, it’s none of your business how others choose to perceive you. Most High sees you clearly–let that be enough,” Michele posted online.
In the NBA, while athletes dating celebrities is nothing new, many fans are put off by this couple and their age gap, highlighted by the fact that Gilbert Arenas has a history with her that goes back 15+ years at least.
For now, it doesn’t look like anything will change for her or her relationship with Jalen but the clip by Young and Arenas threatens to send even more critics her way as more and more people catch on to the story and her extensive history.
