The Phoenix Suns just won their sixth game in a row but had to work hard for it. The Chicago Bulls controlled the majority of the game, leading by 23 points at one point. However, the Suns pulled off a masterclass second half to walk away with a 115-113 win, culminating with Kevin Durant hit a clutch game-winner to win the game.

Fans loved watching Durant deliver in this moment.

DOUBLE CLUTCH.
GAME WINNER.

WHAT A SHOT FROM KEVIN DURANT ‼️ https://t.co/vZXTuUyT3Q pic.twitter.com/XXf0vR5Qvr

LeBron James absolutely loved what Kevin Durant pulled off with the final bucket.

That’s a TOUGH ASS shot @KDTrey5!!! Double Pump pull up on the move!

— LeBron James (@KingJames) January 23, 2024

Podcaster Pierre Andersen made it clear that Durant was justified in questioning why he isn’t in GOAT conversations when he’s capable of moments like this.

And he ain’t in GOAT conversations?

One fan called Kevin Durant the greatest he’s ever seen.

KEVIN DURANT IS THE FUCKING GREATEST IVE EVER SEEN

— Aligned RB (@RyB_311) January 23, 2024

A Kevin Durant stan called him a bonafide top-10 player of all time and one of the clutches players in league history.

Fans mocked the people who were questioning if the Suns lost the trade in which they acquired Durant.

can't believe people genuinely thought the suns could lose a trade in which they got KEVIN DURANT in return https://t.co/ZDLTHi3s3O

Some Suns fans were referring to Durant as the greatest player to have worn the jersey.

SUNS FANS. CHERISH TREY FIVE. WE HAVE NEVER SEEN A PLAYER LIKE HIM IN OUR LIFE PLAY FOR OUR TEAM.

Thank God Kevin Durant is a Phoenix Sun 🙏

— LEEZUS (@AndrewLeezus) January 23, 2024

More fans continued hailing Durant’s greatness as that on a special tier.

This level of greatness from Kevin Durant is beyond special- in my lifetime I can count on one maybe two hands the number of players I’ve seen that can do what he does. This Suns team (down 23 in the 3rd) are never out of a game. What a win!

— John Gambadoro (@Gambo987) January 23, 2024

The Suns were led by Durant’s 43 points as his co-stars struggled to find their shots. Bradley Beal ended with 18 points while Devin Booker scored 16 points in underwhelming performances.

The Bulls had a team effort in trying to close this one out without Zach Lavine, as Coby White led the squad with 26 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists. DeMar DeRozan added 21 points while Nikola Vucevic had 19. The other Bulls starters also notched double-digit points, with Alex Caruso scoring 15 points and Patrick Williams scoring 13 points.

Kevin Durant Questioned Why People Don’t Talk About Him In GOAT Conversations

Kevin Durant recently questioned why he isn’t included in the conversations about the greatest players of all time. He made it clear that he thinks it’s because of his controversial decision to join Golden State while questioning everyone on why he isn’t in those conversations.

“Because I went to the Warriors. Why shouldn’t I be in that? That’s the question you should ask. Why not? What haven’t I done?”

Kevin Durant will undoubtedly be regarded as one of the greatest scorers the game has ever seen. But he wants recognition for being one of the greatest players the NBA has seen, not just a specific caveat over scoring. His resume is stacked and has accolades that only the greatest could win.

KD is a two-time champion, two-time Finals MVP, the 2014 MVP, 13-time all-Star, 10-time All-NBA, and a four-time scoring champion. However, he is held back by his decision to join Golden State, something that devalued his title wins in the eyes of fans and media.

Nonetheless, Durant is undoubtedly one of the greatest the league has seen and could be in the top ten of all-time. However, the people right at the top of the list are comfortably ahead in accolades, making his argument against them more challenging.
