Jordan Poole’s blooper reel as a member of the Washington Wizards keeps getting longer. In the fourth quarter of their game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday night, Poole let the ball roll on an inbounds pass, wrongly believing that the game clock wouldn’t start until he touched the ball.
Jordan Poole thought doing this stops both the game clock & the shot clock lmao pic.twitter.com/qiieC2zYHc

For those who are confused like Poole as to why the clock kept running after a made basket, there is a very simple explanation. The clock is only stopped following a successful field goal in the last minute of the first, second, and third quarter, and in the final two minutes of the fourth quarter and overtime.
This was just a flagrant lack of knowledge regarding the rules on Poole’s part. While I can understand a fan wondering why the clock didn’t stop, it is rather unacceptable that an NBA player didn’t know why.
You could clearly see the 24-year-old telling the official that the clock was running and I can only imagine how confused he was by the guard’s actions. To Poole’s credit, he did actually end up making the shot after this but did waste some precious time along the way.
The Wizards were down 10 when this happened and they would never particularly get close after that, as the Bucks would go on to win 142-129. Poole had 30 points, 1 rebound, and 1 assist while shooting 11-26 from the field and 3-9 from beyond the arc on the night, as the Wizards dropped to 2-11.
NBA Fans Roasted Jordan Poole
Such clips of Poole going viral are becoming commonplace now. There seems to be a dumb play on his part every other week, at this point, and NBA fans roasted him for this one.
One says this was an all-time stupid moment.

A fan says it is a terrible look that Poole didn’t know the rule.
To be fair to him the clock does stop after a bucket when it's under 2 minutes which lets you do this. Although getting that confused may even be worse 💀

One fan found Poole’s reaction to be priceless.

A fan brutally suggested a new name for Poole.

Safe to say he hasn’t done his reputation any good in his short time as a Wizard. Just last month, NBA fans had destroyed Poole for attempting a nonchalant three-pointer over Kristaps Porzingis, who easily blocked his shot.
More recently, Poole could be seen paying no attention to his head coach during a timeout, which he unsurprisingly got blasted for. I have to say that he needs to take a long hard look at himself and get his act together.
Jordan Poole Might Not Be With The Wizards Long-Term
Being traded to the Wizards was supposed to give Poole the fresh start that he desperately needed. He was going to get more freedom to express himself on the court, but instead of shining when given this opportunity, he has floundered.
NBA insider Marc Stein is now reporting that league observers don’t believe Poole will be a Wizard long-term. The notion seems to be that the franchise is trying to rebuild his value and then ship him out, rather than viewing him as a cornerstone player in the post-Bradley Beal era.
Unfortunately for them, his trade value has decreased significantly based on what we have seen from Poole this season. No team would be interested in getting someone like him on board, especially when he is in year one of a four-year, $123 million contract.
