The Lakers have not been able to blow any opponent out this season, regardless of the quality of their team. The Grizzlies are among the worst in the NBA, and the Lakers handled business with ease, dominating all four quarters in a 107-134 win.

The lights-out shooting and consistent defense have fans thinking they’re a threat in the West again.

A win on the same night some of your biggest rivals ate losses brought joy to the fanbase.

The lack of minutes LeBron James and Anthony Davis had to play was one of the biggest positive takeaways for fans.

Laker fans are proclaiming that ‘they’re back’.

Fans showed D’Angelo Russell a lot of love for emerging as a consistent point guard option for the Lakers over their last three wins, especially tonight.

Rui Hachimura also had a 20-point explosion with Russell, making fans joke about the duo seeing they were being put in mock trades for Zach LaVine.

Fans thought Anthony Davis put in a performance that solidified his case as a DPOY frontrunner.

This game got feisty early on when five technical fouls were handed out because of a scuffle between Anthony Davis and Santi Aldama. That sparked something in Davis, who put up 19 points 11 rebounds, and six blocks in 29 minutes of action. LeBron James had an efficient 16 points with nine rebounds and six assists, as both he and Davis sat out the fourth quarter.

The real stars for the Lakers were their rotational players. D’Angelo Russell had 24 points on 66.7% shooting while Rui Hachimura put up 23 points on 10 shots off the bench. Austin Reaves continued thriving in his sixth-man role, putting up 16 points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists on the night.

The Lakers Enjoy Dominating The Grizzlies

The Lakers and Grizzlies have had beef since last season. It started with a scuffle involving Shannon Sharpe in a regular season game and became a heated playoff rivalry instigated by Dillon Brooks. Today, we saw an early moment of fire emerge with the AD-Aldama scuffle. All these instances have ended with a Lakers win, as this young group seems to set something off in them whether they’re healthy or not.

LeBron and Davis got to sit out the entire fourth quarter of this game, with Davis even remarking that the last time they’ve been able to do this was in Game 6 against the Grizzlies in the playoffs.

“It’s been a while…Actually, it’s probably the last time we played against them.”

The Lakers couldn’t have lost this game given the situation the Memphis roster is in. Even though the Lakers have been without the likes of Gabe Vincent and Jarred Vanderbilt, the Grizzlies’ rotation has been decimated by injuries and suspensions. This was a game they should’ve won dominantly and fans are excited to see them follow through on that expectation.
