  • Jimmy Butler came to media day with an interesting look
  • The superstar said that he’s “emo”
  • Butler had long hair and face piercings

Forward Jimmy Butler is usually in the media due to his exploits on the basketball court, and he is definitely one of the best two-way players in the league. However recently, he made the headlines due to his look on media day.

During media day with the Miami Heat, Jimmy Butler came in with long hair covering the majority of his face, as well as eye and nose piercings. When asked about his look, Butler simply said “I’m emo”. He also elaborated on the look when speaking to Taylor Rooks.

“It’s just emotional right now. A lot has gone on in the past week with basketball, I’ve been wearing all black and letting my emotions just show.”

Afterwards, we saw Jimmy Butler pose with his teammates for a photo, and continue showing off his “emo” look. Butler tends to arrive on media day with crazy looks for his yearly picture, and this year has been no different.

It remains to be seen if Jimmy Butler will keep this look for the entire season. That seems unlikely, but it would definitely be interesting to see Butler consistently hoop with his “emo” hair.

This past season, Jimmy Butler averaged 22.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game for the Miami Heat, making the All-NBA Second Team. It will be interesting to see how well he does next season for the squad, and he has shown no signs of slowing down thus far.

Jimmy Butler Sent A Message To Damian Lillard After He Got Traded To Bucks

This summer, the Miami Heat spent a lot of time chasing Damian Lillard on the trade market. However, the superstar ended up getting traded to the Milwaukee Bucks instead. Recently, Butler sent a message to Lillard stating that he still plans on beating Lillard, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Bucks coach Adrian Griffin on the way to the championship.

“I am happy for Dame … but I’m gonna go beat Dame, Giannis, and Adrian Griffin on our way to a title.”

It is clear that Jimmy Butler is happy that Damian Lillard got to join a team that will compete for a championship. However, as a competitor, Butler understands that he will have to defeat Lillard in the playoffs, and is thus focused on that goal as well.

It will be interesting to see whether the Miami Heat and the Milwaukee Bucks end up facing off in the playoffs going forward. It is definitely a real possibility, and that series will be an absolute war between the two franchises.
