Michael Jordan was meeting famous singer J Balvin, one of the most successful artists of the last 5 years, and the two seemed to be familiar with one another.

Despite Michael Jordan’s security guard trying to move J Balvin out of the way, Jordan stopped him and ended up sharing a happy embrace with the famous musician.

Michael Jordan retired from the NBA over two decades ago, but he is still arguably the most recognizable basketball player in the world. Even fans on social media got in on the act showing him love after the video went viral.

NBA Fans Reacted To Michael Jordan Getting Serenaded By Goat Noises

The GOAT debate has become a seminal part of basketball discourse, it has dominated headlines since LeBron James won his fourth championship with the Los Angeles Lakers and then subsequently became the all-time leading scorer.

After this video went viral though, fans in the comments who think Michael Jordan is still the GOAT made themselves heard.

One fan simply wrote, “The best there ever was, or ever will be. Nice to see.”

Others noticed the familiarity between Michael Jordan and J Balvin, with one fan writing, “J Balvin and the GOAT been hanging out fosho.”

While a lot of the comments were about Michael Jordan’s GOAT status, one fan pointed out something hilarious. They wrote, “You see MJ peeped his shoes before the hug. Had to make sure he had on J’s.”

All this was drowned out by the chorus of people calling Jordan the GOAT, like the fan who said, “THE GOAT for sure.”

Most basketball fans would do anything to meet Michael Jordan, as this fan pointed out, writing, “Feeling a little jealous of Balvin right now.”

It is always impressive to see the influence Michael Jordan has on a generation of fans who never watched him play. His legacy and greatness are unlike anything the NBA has ever seen before.

Michael Jordan Deals With This Type Of Reaction Regularly

No player in NBA history has enjoyed a peak as dominant as Michael Jordan’s in the 1990s. He won six championships with the Chicago Bulls, claiming six Finals MVPs along the way, and had 10 scoring titles to his name by the time his career ended.

Michael Jordan is the GOAT by consensus, and fans have followed him around making goat noises in the past as well.

Being recognized and treated this way is hardly new for Michael Jordan, he has been a massive celebrity since he came into the NBA. He is used to this treatment, and even though he may not say it, he surely agrees with a lot of fans about his GOAT status.
