An example of his generous nature surfaced on social media recently, with reports that he had bought a $1,000 Samsung phone for a woman he met at Best Buy.

“Kquoella Lewis says she walked into the Best Buy in Lafayette, Louisiana, to get an iPad — then she noticed a tall someone walking next to her: Shaquille O’Neal,” Fox59 reported.

“O’Neal was inquiring about the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip phone, and Lewis expressed her thoughts on getting one. O’Neal told the store employee, ‘Get two: one for me and one for her.’

“Lewis said the other phone wasn’t even for him. O’Neal is reportedly an iPhone man.”

That is a beautiful story, Shaquille O’Neal had no real reason to buy the phone for that lady, but he did it anyway out of the goodness of his heart. His generosity is a big reason why NBA fans will always love the Los Angeles Lakers legend.

NBA Fans Loved This Move By Shaquille O’Neal

Shaquille O’Neal has enough money for $1,000 to not be too big an amount for him, but it is still huge for a normal person. The fact that he did this was appreciated by fans, with a few comments praising his generosity on social media.

“While he’s not running his estimated $400 million business empire, Shaq is well known for paying it forward. Love to see it,” a post on social media was captioned.

Another fan commented on it, saying, “Shaq is always doing something for someone.” This is not the first story of this sort about O’Neal so they are completely right.

For every believer, there are always cynics. One fan hilariously suggested that Shaquille O’Neal just wanted the tax write-off. He wrote, “He making sure Uncle Sam doesn’t get anything more than he owes.”

Shaquille O’Neal has done more than enough in his life to be called a legend, and one fan did exactly that, writing, “Shaq is a living legend.”

Shaquille O’Neal’s Father Taught Him To Always Help People That Didn’t Have As Much As Him

Shaquille O’Neal’s father is one of the biggest influences on his life. He taught him many things, foremost among them, to never take his gifts and wealth for granted.

Shaquille O’Neal once shared how his father made him buy burgers for a homeless man and how it taught him an invaluable lesson.

“We go to White Castle and he’s a big fella so he got 6 cheeseburgers and I got 6 too. We’re in a car, eating them, he pulls over and sees this man from the army. He starts talking to him and he recognized the platoon the guy was from.

“The guy was down on his luck and my father had like 5 double cheeseburgers left, about $20. In my mind I am thinking, ‘What are you doing bro? Imma eat that later.’

“I was just selfish at this point. This my food… He gave him the food and got teary eyes and said to me, ‘If you ever make it big time, make sure you help those in need.”

Shaquille O’Neal is known for donating to people in need all the time, and this is another story in a long list of him showing his class. Paying it forward in this fashion only brings good karma, maybe that’s why Shaquille O’Neal continues to grow more successful every year.
