  • Jordan Poole story continues as the Warriors exclude him from team memory
  • NBA fans call out the Warriors for disrespecting their former player
  • Resentment is lingering between the Warriors and their ex-sharpshooter

It was an ugly breakup between Jordan Poole and the Golden State Warriors. After helping lead the Dubs to a championship last summer, things took a turn for the worse when he was caught on the wrong end of a punch by Draymond Green.

Now, with the Wizards, Poole has moved on from his days in Dub Nation, but it’s fair to say that some animosity still lingers. In a social media video posted earlier today, some fans couldn’t help but notice that Poole was curiously cropped out:

The video in question is old footage from a year ago, and Poole was to Wiggins’ left with his own hedgehog. For whatever reason, the Warriors’ social media manager decided not to include JP and it could suggest where things stand between him and his former team.

One comment, which got 73 likes, essentially called out the Warriors for being shady and “childish” with this whole situation.

Nobody knows what the Warriors were doing by cropping out JP. On one hand, it could mean absolutely nothing since Poole isn’t on the team anymore. But as many fans pointed out, there’s no harm in including a former player in team videos, especially since Poole won a title with the Warriors back in 2021.

What Went Wrong Between Poole And The Warriors?

When looking back on Poole’s breakup with Dub Nation, there’s one incident in particular that led to a divorce. Before last season even began, Poole was caught in a heated exchange with longtime veteran Draymond Green which resulted in Poole getting punched and knocked out during a team practice.

To make matters even worse, the whole thing leaked in a video on social media, and the story grew completely out of control. The Warriors tried their best to push everything under the rug, but when they struggled to win road games during the season, fans quickly blamed the pre-season brawl as the reason why.

In the end, the Warriors knew that they had to move on from Poole, which is why they officially traded him this summer in a deal with the Washington Wizards. While probably not his first choice, JP has the chance to resurrect his career with a clean slate entering next season.

Warriors Locker Room Hated Jordan Poole

After challenging one of the founding members of the Warriors dynasty, it’s no wonder why Jordan Poole was exiled from Dub Nation. Even before he was sent to D.C., it was obvious that he wasn’t going to last long…

“They hated Jordan Poole,” Barkley said in a recent conversation with NBC Sports Bay Area. “They really hated Jordan Poole. “That’s the No. 1 thing I said to myself: They really hated Jordan Poole.”

With an average of 20.4 points, 4.5 assists, and 2.7 rebounds per game last season, there’s no question that Poole can still score in bunches and he’s much more capable of making big plays than 38-year-old Chris Paul.

Nevertheless, chemistry is everything for the Warriors and it’s tough to win when not everybody is on the same page. Next season, they will have their chance for revenge as Steph, Klay, and Draymond lead the show once again.

Meanwhile, Poole is going to be out to prove that he has what it takes to become a leader and star in the NBA.
