  • Shaquille O’Neal is 7’1″ and he once allowed a news program access to his home to watch him eat breakfast
  • The Lakers legend hilariously banged on the window and asked for pancakes
  • Shaquille O’Neal revealed that his breakfast routine changes daily

Shaquille O’Neal‘s dominance in the NBA came because of many factors, but the biggest one was undoubtedly his immense size. Shaquille O’Neal is 7’1″ in terms of height and weighed roughly 325 pounds when he played during his prime.

After he retired, Shaquille O’Neal’s fitness may have fallen off a little, but he is still a large man with a reasonably massive appetite. Here’s a look at what the Big Diesel has for breakfast, which he once revealed on the news.

“I had the opportunity to have breakfast with Shaquille O’Neal and his girlfriend, Laticia Rolle at their home,” the reporter conducting the segment said.

“Do you hear that, do you know what that is?” O’Neal’s then-girlfriend Laticia Rolle said. “That’s my beast, that’s my 7-foot beast that we feed.”

Shaquille O’Neal then walked into the room, hilariously asking, “Y’all got my pancakes ready?”

The reporter revealed that Shaquille O’Neal followed up his pancakes by eating an egg-white omelet with organic grass-fed chicken sausage, kale, bell peppers, and made out of six eggs.

Shaquille O’Neal also revealed that his breakfast keeps switching up, explaining that he loves chicken and waffles. He also showed a bottle of what appeared to be an energy drink, claiming that he drinks 10 of those in one day.

It’s safe to say that feeding Shaquille O’Neal is a much more difficult task than people realize.

Shaquille O’Neal’s Size Allowed Him To Dominate In His Prime But Also Caused His Decline

Until he turned 30 years old, Shaquille O’Neal was the ultimate physical specimen in the NBA. Standing at 7’1″ and weighing 340 pounds at the time, O’Neal was just unstoppable for anyone who dared go up against him.

During his best years with the Los Angeles Lakers between 1996 and 2003, O’Neal averaged 27.7 points and 11.8 rebounds per game. He was so good that opposition defenses would have to bring on centers just to foul him and stop him from scoring.

After he turned 34 years old though, Shaquille O’Neal declined rapidly.

He played less than 55 games in both of his final NBA seasons, and that was also because he was out of shape. Shaquille O’Neal’s size also led to nagging injuries that saw him fall off that sharply.

Shaquille O’Neal Has Simple Tastes When It Comes To Food

Shaquille O’Neal is worth $400 million, it’s understandable if he eats differently than a lot of normal people. However, Shaquille O’Neal has made it obvious that despite all the means at his disposal, his tastes haven’t been altered drastically.

“I don’t like rich people food,” said Big Aristotle. “Like Hors d’oeuvres, us regular people, we like chicken wings. I don’t go to like all these parties, and the caviar, I don’t like all those stuff. I want chicken wings, pizza, and chips.”

Shaquille O’Neal is constantly making fun of Charles Barkley on Inside The NBA about his eating habits, but he’s not doing too much better anyway.

His love for the simple things has caused Shaquille O’Neal to get quite big, although he is also working out to ensure that he does not end up in poor shape for the rest of his life.

It is wild to know how much food a person of that size needs, and there are no surprises when it comes to Shaquille O’Neal either.
