  • Austin Reaves led the team in scoring with 15 points, with Anthony Edwards and Jalen Brunson adding 13 points each
  • Fans on social media loved the performance and provided varied reactions to all of it

Team USA is the favorite to win the 2023 FIBA World Cup despite not having as stacked a roster as people thought. And they proved why in their second group stage game against Greece.

Team USA scored a whopping 109 points in the game and only allowed Greece to reach a score of 81. Their dominance is evident, considering that it was a 28-point margin.

Fans showed love to many players, starting with Austin Reaves, who scored a team-high 15 points.

Reaves is HIM.

Jalen Brunson impressed mightily in the win, scoring 13 points without missing a single shot. He certainly had one fan excited.

OH YEAHHH LETS GO THATS MA POINT GUARD

Anthony Edwards also continued his impressive form with 13 points of his own, and he has one fan excited for the Minnesota Timberwolves next season.

I'ma say it again…we are definitely making it to the second round playoffs 🐺 https://t.co/ibvOjp9HuZ

While the win is impressive, Greece didn’t have Giannis Antetokounmpo who is not participating, and these are games that the team is expected to win. One fan kept it simple when pointing that out.

Easy wins.

Team USA was impressive throughout, shooting 57.4% from the field and 40.9% from the three-point line as a unit, which is a good sign for the tougher games to come in the knockout stages of the competition.

What Comes Next For Team USA?

Having beaten New Zealand by 27 points in their first game and Greece by 28 points in the second, Team USA will play their final group stage game against winless Jordan.

They have four points to their name and are all but certain to qualify for the knockout stages of the competition. The game against Jordan will take place on Wednesday, August 30th, and is a game they should easily win.

Team USA is expected to bring home the World Cup, and with the way they are clicking, it’s hard to see which team will stop them. The team is on a roll, and the vibes around them seem immaculate.
