  • Dwight Howard’s Rolls-Royce can only be started with his championship ring
  • The ring needs to be flashed in front of a small trophy placed on the bonnet
  • Howard won the ring with the Lakers in 2020

The only way to start Dwight Howard’s Rolls-Royce is if you have his championship ring. Howard was showing off his car to YouTuber D’Aydrian Harding, and the big man surprised him with this rather unique feature. Harding was told to flash the ring in front of a trophy placed on the bonnet, and the car immediately started.

Considering Howard earned nearly $250 million in salaries during his time in the NBA, he probably can afford to set up something like this. The 37-year-old calls the car the “Dwightmobile” and jokes that not everyone can drive it.

Dwight Howard Wishes The 2020 Lakers Weren’t Broken Up

That ring means a lot to Dwight and Howard wishes the Lakers never broke up their championship squad, as it had everything.

It’s always brought up that the Lakers only won because it was the Bubble, but they were a great team. The Lakers had a 52-19 record in the regular season and lost just three playoff games on their way to the NBA Finals, where they dispatched the Miami Heat in six games.

Howard would finish that season with averages of 7.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, 0.7 assists, 0.4 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game.

In the offseason, the Lakers would part ways with the likes of Howard, JaVale McGee, Danny Green, and Rajon Rondo.

Those departures combined with injuries to LeBron James and Anthony Davis meant the Lakers just never got going. Their title defense would end in the first round, as the Phoenix Suns eliminated them in six games.

Howard now wants to return to the Lakers after his Taiwan stint to go on another championship run, but it doesn’t seem like the team has any interest in the three-time Defensive Player of the Year.
