• Michael Jordan sails in pure luxury, as evidenced by his 230-foot yacht

• Affectionately named ‘Joy’, the yacht has a basketball hoop on it

• Jordan was recently spotted in Monaco with the yacht

Michael Jordan is the richest NBA player to ever play and added nearly another billion dollars to his net worth by selling the Charlotte Hornets this summer. With his sneaker empire also growing every year, Jordan has spent a lot of the money he has on acquiring a luxurious 230-foot yacht called ‘Joy’, which features a basketball hoop.

Losing the ball in the ocean when the yacht is sailing won’t be a problem, as we know, Jordan hits nothing but the net. He was spotted on this behemoth in Monaco recently.

Without the responsibilities of being a team owner in the NBA, Jordan can finally start to enjoy the empire he’s built a little more. The Jordan Brand will keep him hard at work regardless, but you don’t work for the finer things in life if you aren’t going to enjoy them.

Michael Jordan Worked For Every Dollar He Earned

Michael Jordan didn’t come from a life of luxury, growing up in Wilmington, North Carolina with his father in the US Military. His surreal basketball talent meant that he would rise through the high school ranks and go play for the University of North Carolina, bringing them a national championship in 1982.

There is nothing that hasn’t been said about his NBA career. He single-handedly established himself as a global sporting icon and helped the NBA become a league that the world watched. The NBA wouldn’t exist in its current form if Jordan didn’t change the game with what sponsorships and brand partnerships could achieve.

On the court, Jordan left the game as the greatest player of all time. His ten scoring titles, six championships, six Finals MVPs, five regular-season MVPs, and one Defensive Player of the Year prove that he was arguably the most complete player in the history of the game.
