It’s going to be one humdinger of a Christmas as the Los Angeles Lakers take on the Boston Celtics at the Crypto.com Arena on Christmas Day.

The NBA released the official schedule for the 2023-24 season along with the Christmas schedule. Here’s a quick look at the five marquee games on December 15.

1. New York Knicks vs. Milwaukee Bucks

2. Miami Heat vs. Philadelphia 76ers

3. Los Angeles Lakers vs. Miami Heat

4. Phoenix Suns vs. Dallas Mavericks

5. Denver Nuggets vs. Golden State Warriors

The Lakers meet the Celtics on Christmas Day for the first time in 15 years in 2008, with the former notching up a 92-83 win.

Kobe Bryant (27 points) and Pau Gasol (20 points) were instrumental in getting that win over Boston snapping their franchise record-breaking 19-game winning streak.

The last season saw LA play the Dallas Mavericks on Christmas Day, while the Celtics played the Bucks.

Unlike the National Football League’s traditional Thanksgiving Day features, the NBA’s Christmas Day games have no fixed opponents, but, they feature some of the best teams in the league.

It’s worth noting that seven of the eight teams playing this time around are all the ones that made the playoffs last season, with the Denver Nuggets winning their maiden NBA title.
