  • Shaquille O’Neal recently posted a video of himself on Instagram
  • The Lakers legend looks to be in peak physical condition, showing off his muscles and upper body
  • Shaquille O’Neal is 51 years old and retired from the NBA 12 years ago

Shaquille O’Neal played in the NBA from 1992 to 2011, a career spanning 19 years and filled with all the accolades imaginable. Shaquille O’Neal won four NBA championships, three Finals MVPs, and an MVP award among numerous other honors.

Toward the end of his career, O’Neal was criticized for being out of shape. After his retirement, he was occasionally trolled by his crewmates on TNT for being a bit fat. But that part of his life seems to be behind him, the 51-year-old recently posted a picture of himself looking shredded on Instagram.

“In my former life, I was Phile Heath. We almost there,” wrote Shaquille O’Neal as a caption for his post.

The video shows Shaquille O’Neal walking into a gym and taking off his shirt to reveal his new bulked-up form and how fit he is looking. Despite his immense frame, his stomach has excellent definition, and his abs can be seen. The muscles on his chest and arms look to be in great shape too.

Shaquille O’Neal is a father of six children, the oldest of whom, Shareef O’Neal, is 23 years old. That gives us some perspective in terms of just how good Shaq is looking after his new workout routine. Shaquille O’Neal is listed at 7’1″ in terms of height, and while his weight is supposed to be 325 lbs, he has surely lost a lot of it.

Shaquille O’Neal Didn’t Miss The Gym Even When He Was On Crutches

It takes intense dedication and commitment to achieve this kind of muscle definition at the age of 51. And Shaquille O’Neal has worked beyond imagination to make this happen for himself. Shaq did not even stop gymming when he was on crutches earlier in the year after hip surgery, and this is the result of all that hard work.

Fans have been following Shaquille O’Neal’s progress for a while now, he had posted his progress to Twitter last year too. Shaquille O’Neal dominated the NBA with his physique, and while he might not need to be shredded anymore, his commitment to staying in the ultimate shape has not wavered in the slightest.
