  • Charles Barkley introduced his grandson to the NBA World
  • After Chuck’s comments, Kenny Smith made a wildly inappropriate joke
  • Hearing this, Shaquille O’Neal burst into tears

Charles Barkley introduced his adorable grandchild, little Henry, to the NBA community. He talked about how he was driving his mom crazy, but he mentioned that he still loved him, regardless. Just as the crew was about to move on to the next segment, Smith had a joke.

But after realizing that it was Chuck’s grandson, Smith was hesitant to tell the joke. But Shaq insisted, and Smith finally obliged.

Kenny Smith said:

“I would’ve said – I would’ve said, if it wasn’t no little Henry, like – Little Henry slow.”

But Chuck later clarified that Henry was just 9 months old and not 9 years old. However, Shaq was already in tears and he even instigated Smith later in the segment.

Kenny Smith added:

“I was looking at little Henry at nine years old, struggling to say Big Pop at 9 years old. It didn’t make sense. I was like, It doesn’t make any sense, Ernie.”

Inside the NBA is widely regarded as the premier NBA show on television, thanks in large part to the banter and chemistry between its hosts. Their controversial and often humorous statements have kept fans engaged, making the show a hit within the NBA community. The show has largely been popular due to the banter between Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley. But this time, it was Smith’s turn to join in and bully Chuck’s grandkid. But sometimes, their jokes and fights cross the line and this time, it was Kenny Smith’s turn.

Charles Barkley Is No Stranger To Controversial Statements Himself

While Chuck was at the receiving end this time around, he is no stranger to controversial and bold statements himself. His annual fights with Shaq are well documented and sometimes, the two legends get very heated.

His most recent beef seems to be with Suns star Kevin Durant. Chuck has blasted KD for his moves to super teams. And KD has also fired back at Chuck on Twitter several times.

Chuck also had a beef with LeBron James back in 2017. He criticized The King for asking for help in the media. And LeBron fired back at him and blasted Chuck for his actions in the past.

Despite having been part of a number of controversies, Charles Barkley still remains loved by the fans. His unfiltered approach has both made him adored by fans and hated by a few who don’t agree with his statements.
